I don’t care how many times I see a quick weeknight meal, I’m always all in! Here’s another quick one to add to your repertoire! Plus, if you’re like me, then you buy can of lump crab meat when it goes on sale and keep them around until you’re ready to make dishes like this one..

Spicy Crab & Asparagus Fettuccine

1/2 pound of fettuccine, cooked & drained

1 cup of lump crab

1 cup of chopped fresh asparagus

1/4 cup of olive oil

2 tablespoons of butter

1/2 cup of diced shallots (or red onions will work)

1 tablespoons of mined garlic

1 teaspoon of salt

1 teaspoon of pepper

1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (or a little less, depending on how spicy you like it)

1/2 teaspoon of Old Bay

1. In a large pan, heat the olive oil and butter together and saute the onions and garlic for about 2-3 minutes.

2. Then, add in the asparagus and cook for another 2 minutes while stirring occasionally so nothing sticks or burns.

3. Season the pan with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and Old Bay. Then, toss in the pasta and crab. Be sure to coat

4. Take a moment to taste the pasta. If a bit more salt or pepper is needed, add it at this point.

5. Serve the dish warm.
