I took a famous, and a favorite of mine, dessert and put my own little spin on it. Indulge in this sweet treat because you won’t regret it! You could even whip this up for the next holiday!
1 ½ cups of heavy cream
1 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon of nutmeg
1 ½ tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 pinch of salt
The zest of a lemon
2 tablespoons of butter at room temperature
2 cups of frozen peaches, defrosted
4 cups of croissants, cut into cubes
To start, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, salt, lemon zest, butter, and peaches. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Then, add in the croissants and mix well. Add into individual ramekins and top with the crumble (recipe below). Bake in the oven until it’s golden brown – about 25 minutes. Then, drizzle with the lemon glaze (recipe below).
For the crumble,
1 cup of white sugar
1 ½ cups of all purpose flour
1 pinch of salt
1 stick of butter, softened
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until clumps form.
For the glaze
1 cup of powdered sugar
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
Mix the powdered sugar together with the lemon juice until the desired consistency is reached.
