-2 chicken fillets, pounded thin

-1/2 teaspoon of salt

-1/2 teaspoon of pepper

-1/4 cup of all purpose flour

-2 tablespoons of olive oil

-1/2 teaspoon of granulated garlic powder

-2 tablespoons of butter

-1/4 cup of drained capers

-the juice of 2 limes

-2 tablespoons of honey or 1 good tablespoon of sugar

1. Start by preheating a cast iron skillet. Add the oil to the pan once it’s warm.

2. Meanwhile, liberally season the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and granulated garlic. Then, dredge in flour and shake off the excess.

3. Cook the chicken on both sides until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and add in the butter, capers, lime juice and sugar. Cook on medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce is slightly thick.

4. Add the chicken back in and coat with the sauce. Enjoy while it’s still warm.

I served mine with rice and fresh avocado. See me cook it here:
