Creamy Parmesan Rib Eye

Don’t you just love a good steak. This one is so easy and you can make it using ingredients you already have on hand. It’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or fancy enough to serve when company comes over! For extra flavor, smoke the rib eye on a grill, if you have one. If not, the stove and oven work too!

1 10-ounce rib eye steak

1/2 teaspoon of Kosher salt

1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

1 tablespoon of vegetable or canola oil

For the sauce:

1 teaspoon of chopped garlic

1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce

1/3 cup of heavy cream

1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese

Heat a skillet.

Meanwhile, season the steak on both sides with salt and pepper. Add the oil to the hot skillet and place the steak in the oil. Do not touch if for at least 3 minutes. Allow the steak to sear on the first side. Then, flip and let it sear on the second side. If the steak is super thick, you can put it in the oven to cook to your desired temperature.

When the steak is done, remove it from the pan and set aside. Start on the sauce.

Add the skillet to a medium flame on the stove and add in the garlic. Let the garlic cook for about 45 seconds, then add in the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and heavy cream. Cook until it thickens slightly, then turn down the heat to a simmer. Season with black pepper and add in the grated Parmesan cheese. Pour the sauce over the steak and enjoy while warm.
