Unfortunately I have to let you guys know about another food warning and this time it’s for crab meat. There have been a dozen cases where Vibrio parahaemolyticus has been found in Venezuelan crab. Now this certain bacteria has no warning signs so the food will look normal. The CDC advises if you have any crab, and you’re unsure where it’s from, to be safe just throw it away.
So far only four states have been affected: Maryland, D.C., Louisiana and Pennsylvania. Again, please be careful and even if you’re not in these states be vigilant.
