Did I ever mention to you how much I love playing the 2 Ingredient Game? That’s a game where I ask folks on social media to give me 2 ingredients and then I’ll make a meal out of those 2 ingredients…live…on Periscope and FB Live. (If you’re not watching me live, you’re totally missing out!)

The two ingredients I chose were Apple Crown Royal (a new hood favorite, lol) and steak! So, I’ll get to the steak in another post. But, I figured, why not make a delicious 5 minute BBQ sauce that’s literally better than anything you’d find on the market today!

Here’s the recipe!

-4 cups of ketchup

-a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce

-1 cup of brown sugar

-1/2 teaspoon of salt

-1/2 teaspoon of pepper

-1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder (preferably the granulated kind)

-1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes

-1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar

-2 tablespoons of Apple Crown Royal

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan.

2. Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes or until the mixture comes to a boil. At that point, it’s ready to use. If you’d like, you can simmer to keep it warm until you’re ready to use it.

I just happened to bottle some up and put it in the fridge for the next time I needed BBQ sauce. Yum!

Here’s the video from Periscope!

  1. sounds good… but, do you get the flavor off of the apple crown with only 2 tablespoons? Definitely, going to try it this weekend

  2. You added ingredients that’s not mentioned in the written recipe…. That’s my fear when ordering cookbooks, I feel like you add some secret ingredients and not mention them in the written recipe.
