These days, it’s about eating lots of leafy greens. But, they have to be exciting. There are ways to accomplish that and still keep a dish somewhat healthy…or carb free! Try this wilted spinach dish – it’s perfect and beyond delish.

-1 pound of baby spinach leaves, cleaned and trimmed

-4 cloves of minced garlic

-1/2 cup of diced red onion

-1 cup of diced bacon

-1 teaspoon of olive oil

-1/3 cup of Chardonnay

-1 tablespoon of butter, room temperature

-1/2 teaspoon of salt

-1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

-1/3 teaspoon of granulated garlic powder

1.. In a skillet, cook the bacon, onion, and garlic over medium heat in olive oil until the bacon is just cooked through.

2. Then, deglaze the pan by adding the white wine and scraping the bottom of the pan. Also, add in the butter to form the sauce.

3. Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and granulated garlic. Then, turn off the heat.

4. Add the fresh spinach and allow it to wilt slightly and then serve.
