Because sometimes you just wanna remix an old fave! Here ya go.

Whiskey Shrimp Scampi

2 tablespoons of olive oil

1/2 stick of butter

1/4 cup shallots, diced

1/4 cup bell pepper, diced

1 good pinch of salt

1 good pinch of black pepper

1/2 cup of whiskey

3 tablespoons of lemon juice

3 cloves of garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon of Herbs de Provence

1/2 teaspoon of dried fennel

1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon of onion powder

1 good pinch of red pepper flakes

1 pound of large of shrimp, cleaned & deveined

3/4 box of angel hair pasta

1 cup of Parmesan cheese, grated or shredded

2 tablespoons of parsley, chopped

Get a skillet hot. Then, add in the butter and olive oil. Once melted, add in the shallots and bell pepper and season with a pinch of Kosher salt and a pinch of black pepper.  Once the onion and peppers are fragrant, should be about 2 – 3 minutes, add in the whiskey. Flame it and once the flame subsides, ass in the lemon juice, garlic, herbs de Provence, dried fennel, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to combine.

Next, add in the shrimp and when they’re just about cooked through, add in the pasta, Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley. Mix well to combine and serve immediately.
