Recently the world suffered a loss we did not expect. It hurt. A lot of us cried, but all of us felt it. Not only did we lose legend Kobe Bryant but also we’re mourning the tragic loss of his daughter and the other families on board the private helicopter that crashed in California yesterday morning.
Whether you were a Lakers fan or not, you had to respect Kobe Bryant. He was the Mamba and his Mamba Mentality was a directive to success that garnered him five championship rings. His strong work ethic on the court and electric personality off the court made him loveable by all.
I’m still feeling the effects of the loss, and I’m sure I’m not alone, so I thought what better way to honor the Mamba today than by taking a look at his supposed favorite dish, frog legs dipped in honey garlic sauce. Honestly, before today I had no idea this was a Kobe favorite but I’m sure diehard Lakers, or just diehard Kobe, fans knew.
Frog legs are a traditional French dish and if you’ve never had them you’re for sure missing out! Yes, they honestly do kind of taste like chicken so I can imagine how frog legs dipped in honey garlic sauce would be really, really, reaaally good. According to FoodBeast, this was Kobe’s favorite dish of all time.
I’m not sure if you have access to frog legs but if you do, I would definitely suggest at least trying them today in his honor. I may even be coming up with own recipe to pay homage to a great.
Rest In Peace Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, Christina Mauser, and Ara Zabayan. My prayers go out to your families and you all will be missed greatly.
