A little help from the supermarket doesn’t seem too bad. In the days and times when we’re cooking more AND we have to maintain our sanity, a little store-bought short cut is clutch. That’s why I developed this recipe. Technically, it’s 4 ingredients. And they all go together so well!

Gruyere & Sausage Pizza

1 store-bought pizza dough

1 1/2 cups of basil pesto

1 pound of bulk Italian sausage

1 1/2 cups of Gruyere cheese

The Topping:

A few handfuls of arugula

1 pinch of salt

1 pinch of black pepper

1 teaspoon of vinegar

1 teaspoon of olive oil

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Lay out the pizza dough on a sheet tray. Then, spread the basil pesto over the dough. Arrange the sausage and cheese and then bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly.

For the topping, toss all the ingredients together and then arrange over the pizza while it’s still hot. Enjoy immediately.
