Butter & Brown Sugar Roasted Chicken

1 roasting chicken, cut, and cleaned – patted dry

1 stick of butter, room temperature

1 teaspoon of ground black pepper

1 teaspoon of paprika

1 tablespoon of dried Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon of garlic powder

3 tablespoons of brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon of cumin

1 lemon

This is so simple, there shouldn’t even be a recipe. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a small bowl combine softened butter and all of the dry ingredients. Liberally rub butter mixture all over the chicken pieces. Be sure to rub under the skin too! Place chicken on a cookie baking sheet and cook until golden brown. In about 5 minutes the house should smell amazing! Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and enjoy.
