It’s summertime. One way I love to celebrate is with grilled meats and great sauces. This one packs a punch and doesn’t disappoint!


1 10-ounce rib eye steak, bone in

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of pepper

1/2 teaspoon of cumin

1/4 teaspoon of Hungarian paprika

1 1/2 tablespoons of brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons of olive oil


For the chimichurri

1 cup of cilantro leaves, chopped

2 cloves of garlic minced

1 teaspoon of salt

1/2 teaspoon of pepper

1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon of sugar

2 teaspoons of minced onion


1. Preheat a grill pan until it’s almost smoking.

2. Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the salt, pepper, cumin, paprika, brown sugar, and olive oil to make a paste. Then smear the paste over both sides of the steak.

3. Grill the steak on both sides until it reaches the desired doneness.

4. Meanwhile, for the chimichurri, combine the cilantro, garlic, salt, pepper, vinegar, sugar, and minced onion until well combined.

5. Once the steak is done, garnish with the chimichurri.FullSizeRender-3
