Balsamic Green Beans with Bacon
1 pound of green beans (either fresh or frozen)
1 cup of diced bacon
1 cup of chopped onion
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1/4 cup of good balsamic vinegar
1. Saute the bacon, onion, and garlic together in the olive oil until the bacon is just about done.
2. Then, toss in the green beans and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Let the green beans cook until they’re tender. Be sure to stir often.
3. Finish by adding the balsamic vinegar during the last 3 minutes of cooking.
