I’m sure you’re thinking, “well why??” It turns out former mechanical engineering MIT students said they tired of not having a cheap, fulfilling, and nutritious place to eat. So they came up with this idea.
But how is this going to work you ask? Well I’ll try to break it down. According to ABC7 in Boston, first you order your food via a touchscreen. A machine then takes the order and puts it in something called a hopper. (Another machine). Hopper then prepares your order, places it in a bowl, and automatically cleans itself. Wow. An actual human employee then serves the food to you. And you can actually watch this entire process from behind the counter.
