-1 pound of oxtails (braised in beef broth for 3 hours until tender)
-About 2 teaspoons of my “chicken” seasoning
-Oil, for frying
-All purpose flour
-lemon pepper seasoning
Ingredients for chicken seasoning
2 packets of sazon
a good pinch of salt
a good pinch of pepper
a good pinch of red pepper flakes
a good pinch of granulated onion powder
a good pinch ground fennel
a good pinch garlic powder
Start by preheating the oil. Then, in a bowl, mix together all the ingredients for the chicken seasoning. Use about 2 teaspoons to season the cooked ox tails. Then, add in enough buttermilk to moisten. Then, dredge in flour and shake off the excess. Then, deep fry until they’re golden brown. To finish, sprinkle with lemon pepper seasoning and enjoy.
