Last week the parent company for Chili’s Grill & Bar, Brinker International, announced that there has been a data breach for the restaurant. They have narrowed it down to the months of March and April. So if you visited a Chili’s during this time you may be affected.
“Some Chili’s restaurants have been impacted by a data incident, which may have resulted in unauthorized access or acquisition of your payment card data,” is the official statement from Brinker International. As of right now they have no way of knowing exactly which locations were affected just that it probably took customers’ data from between March and April.
Hopefully they get some more concrete details soon! This is another terrible reminder that you can never be too safe with technology and how you use your card. I hope none of you were affected!
