It’s summer. That means it’s always time for a cocktail…or two. One of the ways I love to jazz up any drink is with a little spice. I’m growing hot peppers in my back yard. They’re super simple to grow. You can do it in a pot or in the ground. Either way, they’re a great addition to a simple syrup that’s going to go in a nice cocktail. Here’s what I say: jalapeno simple syrup today…spicy peach jack-a-ritas tomorrow!
Jalapeno Simple Syrup
-1 cup of sugar
-2 cups of water
1.. Just start by slicing the jalapenos into rings. Then add them to a pot with sugar and water.
2. Bring the liquid to a boil and then cut the heat off. Let it sit for about 10 minutes then strain the jalapenos and chill the syrup until you’re ready to use it!
