Kit Kats have been around for a long, long time. I’m talking about decades. And I don’t think they’ve ever missed a beat with their flavors. White chocolate and even strawberry-flavored Kit Kats were bomb. But this one right here? Mmmmm, I’m a little scared. The new flavor being debuted this April is lemon crisp.
Now you see why I’m on the fence with this? Don’t get me wrong, I have faith Kit Kat can make a good tasting candy but this is just so easy to get wrong. For this to work, it’s going to have to be just right. Too much or too little of anything could be bad. I’m scared this new Kit Kat will be way too tart and what they were going for will be lost. If done correctly it could be my new favorite treat.
The strawberry and white chocolate flavors were probably a lot easier to perfect since they’re still very sweet. Those flavors weren’t too different from the milk chocolate we’re used to. But, as I said before, I have faith Kit Kat knows what they’re doing so I’ll swallow my doubts and give it a try. I could probably use these in a recipe or two.
If you want to satisfy your citrus sweet tooth, you’re going to have to wait a little bit. Lemon Crisp Kit Kats won’t be in every store and gas station across the country until this April. That’s just a little under four months away so that’s not too bad. Will you be grabbing some?
